Managing your Weight
Having a healthy weight for your height is very important for your health. If you're overweight, you're at risk of developing health problems that include:
- type 2 diabetes
- high blood pressure and stroke
- coronary heart disease
- some types of cancer
- sleeping problems, such as snoring and sleep apnea
- back pain
The best way to lose excess weight is to increase your activity and to eat smaller portions. It’s recommended that you do at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise five or more days a week, which can include playing your favorite sport, or dancing to your choice of music.
